List Fonts installed by LibreOffice 3.4.4 & Linux Libertine G = Graphite FAQ
I have not found a list of the Fonts installed by LibreOffice.
I can reconstruct that the following fonts where installed by LibO_3.4.4_Win_x86_install_multi.exe:
- DejaVu Sans
- DejaVu Sans Mono
- DejaVu Serif
- Gentium Basic
- Gentium Book Basic
- Liberation Sans Narrow
- Linux Libertine G
- Linux Biolinum G
Is there an ufficial list of the fonts installed by LibO?
I was also interested in the difference between Linux Libertine G (Graphite font/some problems?) and the different? font packs from the ufficial Font page: Linux Libertine O. Is there a reason why LibO integrates the G variant as a TTF? Can someone explain the advantages for a normal user?
numbertext.org says:
Graphite versions of Linux Libertine and Linux Biolinum font families
for LibreOffice and OpenOffice.org.
Fonts with ligatures, true small caps, old style numbers, proportional
or monospaced numbers, capital spacing, automatic thousand separation,
true superscript and subscript, diagonal and nut fractions, different
numbering styles: number to number name conversion (in more than 20
languages), footnote numbering styles; right aligned footnote numbers,
etc.
On the LiLib-Homepage:
- “TTF” in file name
contains the fonts in MS TrueType-format. Best choice for use on screen. - “OTF” in file name
contains the fonts in Adobe OTF(CFF)-format. Best choice for printing. Perhaps best and smallest font format at all.

Still it is not clear to me as normal (german) user if I should use Linux Libertine font files from
If someone of the persons involved is reading, please could you document/support this a bit confusing situation (best in LibO documentation and advantages/disadvantages) and for example how to upgrade the fonts etc.?
