Hi there,

I have browsed around the forum, but not found any posts that solve my problem:

I use LibreOffice 3.3.2 on Ubuntu 11.04.

The spell checker works fine for English, but does not work with any other language. With all other languages (have tried Danish, Dutch and French) it does simply not detect any typos - neither by auto-spell checker, nor when I manually launch the spell check.

Any ideas on how to solve that?

Thank!

Under Tools> Options> Language Settings do you show the Language modules for the other languages?

Are you using the version of LibO that is supplied by Ubuntu?  If so you will need to use Synaptic Package Manager to install the need files.

If your using the files from the LibO download site you will need to download and install the files from their.

Yes

I am using the LibO that came with Ubuntu.

Are you aware of any step-by-step manual on how to install the spell check with Synaptic Package Manager?

Thanks

I have not seen anything like that any where.  My only suggestion would be to open up the Package Manager,  System> Administration> Synaptic Package Manager, and do a search for libreoffice .  In the results find the related files and install them.  Look for Language Pack, hyphen, and other related files.
